[...]She entreated the magi to rebel and assist the tremulous child in her stead, but her words were not those they could understand and she was dragged off until suddenly from the crowd of restrained spectators, one of the magi stood.
The magi was a young and small creature. Her delicate features and frailness of form recommended her failure in aiding the child, but the conviction in her expression conveyed otherwise. Her golden eyes blazed as she game to the center of the room. She held her hand up and began a conjuration.
